ABOUT ME

I was Born and raised in Villefranche S/Saône, near Lyon (69), France.

I have a dual French-Portuguese education and culture because my parents are both portuguese, so I early started learning portuguese language and culture. For this reason, I have 2 native languages since my childhood, and furthermore, foreign languages have always been a passion for me!

SERVICES OFFERED

I can offer the following services: translation, proofreading, editing, localisation and transformation (BR-PT).
Please note that it would be a pleasure for me to start working in subtitling.
I will also accept work in other areas if I consider myself able to do it!

RATES

My rates for Translation may vary according to the type, volume and delivery deadline of the document. For this reason, I suggest to submit a quote because I want to see a portion of your document in order to make a good quote based on a real document instead of a specified quantity of words.

WORK EXPERIENCE - TRANSLATION AND BUSINESS INTERPRETATION

June 2006- Full-time Freelance Translator

2004 - 2006 - Commercial Assistant (Export). Translation and business interpretation for many French, Spanish and English clients (trade fairs, factory visits, prices negotiation, general and technical talk) for a textile company in Braga.

2003 - 2004 - Associação Comercial de Braga (Chamber of Commerce of Braga) - Linguistic Specialist responsible and supervisor for the creation, translation and edition of 3 technical conversation guides.

Since 2002 - Freelance Translator (part-time): I did many translation projects (part-time) in the following areas: CV's, marketing, tourism, gastronomy, religion, biotechnology, law, computer, reports, literature, commercial, correspondence, medical, textile, certificates, economics, health-care, and IT.
Also French, Portuguese, English training courses to students.

2000 - 2003 - I collaborated with the GAED (Gabinete de Apoio ao Estudante com Deficiência) in the preparation of texts to be printed in Braille: digitalization, correction and editing of texts for blind or visually impaired students.

2002 - Japanese Language course and culture, with an average grade of 15.

2001 - 2003 - I have studied Russian Language at University of Minho, with an average grade of 17. (Medium Level)
